Ride 4 Yellow is an event started by a bunch of passionate people in Steamboat Springs who want to help make a difference in the fight against cancer.
The inaugural event was Aug. 8, 2010, and featured a full capacity of 200 riders, including Lance Armstrong. Each rider raised a minimum of $500 toward global and local cancer-fighting efforts. Combined with the generous contributions of the many business and private sponsors, Ride 4 Yellow raised more than $260,000 — a remarkable feat for a first-year event.
But the fight against cancer is nowhere near done, and either are we. The second annual Ride 4 Yellow is Aug. 7, 2011, and will again feature a limited field of 200 riders traversing the epic 26-mile Divide Trail in the backcountry of Routt National Forest and the Steamboat Ski Area. Registration is now open — don’t miss your chance to participate in a one-of-a-kind event in one of the most beautiful places to ride anywhere in the world.
Special Permit by the U.S. Forest Service
A big thanks goes out to the U.S. Forest Service. The event highlights some of the pristine trails of the Routt National Forest and is granted through a special use permit from the US Forest Service in partnership with Routt County Riders.
